It’s not S for Success, It is S for…..

Hey, What if I tell you that there is no such thing as SUCCESS? It is a false term that has been told and convinced to you these many years and Where the whole world is running behind doesn’t really exist …..You will most probably get Super-shocked and would ask “How would you say that? …. Today, Let’s try to define “What exactly is SUCCESS ?”

What if I ask you, What is your definition of success? You may answer something like getting work for your Dream Career with a good sort of money to fulfill your needs and wants to the best extent. But can it be a definition of Success? It may be true for most of you but today you will actually realize What exactly it is?

Money: No matter what you say, We all need money to survive, to have a better lifestyle, and to be able to fulfill our needs and wants to the best extent we can. TRUE!  Absolutely true. We all are working hard day & night to be able to stand on our own feet. To get the best JOB with a good sort of income so that we are well capable to fulfill all our needs and wants in life. Yes right? But if we take a look at one the examples like Mother Teresa who devoted her whole life in order to serve the needy without earning a single bit of money, What would you say her? A Success or A Failure? A Sucess, Right? So from this, we can clearly make out that Money cannot be called as success as there are even people who are working for the JOB in order to get money even if they didn’t like to do so. Now you say it’s the “like” that matters which can be called as Success, as in the case of Mother Teresa as well, BUT IS IT REALLY? Let’s get clear about that …

LIKE v/s LOVE :  Hey do you know that once is person asked Gautam Buddha that “What is the difference between “I LIKE YOU?” and “I LOVE YOU?” and the beautiful answer given by him was something like “When you like a flower, you just pluck it. But, when you love a flower, you water it daily. One who understands this understands life.” here we come to the conclusion that Like and Love cannot be the same. What does he exactly want to say? He had just drawn a thin line between like and love saying ‘Like is something temporary/ conditional’ but ‘Love is something forever’  or in simple words ‘Every love can be a like but every like cannot be a love’ Don’t worry I will make it simple.  Let’s Start with “Like” What exactly is something that we like to do? Simply something which gives us happiness.

Now here comes the harsh truth that ‘Happiness is temporary/conditional’ For example, A Doctor easily gets happiness when he sees a patient getting better or a Teacher easily gets happiness when he sees that her student is doing excellent in the subject. Now here comes a slight difference to be understood. Please keep your mind open until you get finished. So as in the case of the doctor, he gets Happiness when the patient is recovering so it can be called a success but what when it is not, Can it be called a failure?

No right, How can success and failure be at the same time? So What’s the case here? Hey, there don’t you think we miss the Second term? Let’s understand that first, What exactly is love? Here comes our answer. It’s called SATISFACTION. We actually love the things which gives us DEEP SATISFACTION to our soul. Now let’s try to answer some of our previous Question….

Do you think the person who is earning a good sort of money but doesn’t like the work he is doing can be called successful? No! definitely not as he is Neither getting Happiness nor satisfaction in what he is doing.

Secondly, Do You think, the person working as a Doctor gets some sort of happiness in treating the patient will continue the work even if he didn’t get paid for that? No, he will most probably leave that work BECAUSE happiness can be recollected from many other stuff like Teaching. He can even be happy to teach the future generation (if he is good enough at teaching) After all happiness is not the only point source to depend on.

Lastly, don’t you think A persons who loves machines, which gives him deep satisfaction while learning, opening, and making it can get the same satisfaction even while teaching or working as a Doctor? He might get happiness But not satisfaction. He may like the work but cannot love it forcefully. But What if he is unable to make a particular machine that he wanted? What if he got fail?  …do you think he will be devoid of happiness. Definitely not! as every cause of failure is a new learning for him which he was actually missing ….he got something new to learn ….that is what satisfies him. He is always happy and always satisfied.

That’s the actual meaning of success. IT NOT S FOR SUCCESS IT IS S FOT “SATISFACTION”. When you are DEEPLY SATISFIED in what you are doing even if you didn’t get paid, even if nobody supports you, nobody pays you even getting fail sometimes but if you still LOVE doing it lifelong! You are SUCCESSFUL!

Wish you all the best!
